Volleyball Alberta Hall of Fame inductee Briggs brings 47 years of coaching from grassroots to University Canada West. Founder of Sherwood Park Volleyball Club, he’s earned national awards, including USPORT and Canada West Coach of the Year. With roles at MacEwan, UBC Okanagan, and Volleyball Alberta, Ken has shaped generations of athletes and continues to inspire Alberta’s volleyball community.
Kyle Hazlehurst is a NCCP Level 2 coach with 20+ years in scholastic and club volleyball. Volleyball Alberta’s 2025 Performance Coach of the Year, he coaches U16 Team Alberta and NOOKS U16 men, achieving top provincial and national finishes. Kyle is also Athletic Director at Fultonvale School and has a proven track record developing elite athletes.
Sherwaine brings over 15 years of coaching, athlete development, and sports leadership experience. He has coached with the U of A Golden Bears, Team Alberta, and FOG Volleyball Club, and holds a Master’s in Coaching focused on performance and athlete-centered training. Sherwaine excels in technical development, team culture, and holistic athlete growth, with a strong commitment to EDI in sport.
From Sherwood Park, Grayden played 5 years with the U of A Golden Bears, serving as captain and winning 2 USPORTS national titles and 2 Canada West championships. A former Youth National Team captain, he’s passionate about giving back through coaching, with recent roles at SCA, Park Elite U15 Blue, and now Head Coach for Park Elite U16 Black.
RJ is a highly accomplished volleyball player and coach with 13+ years of club experience. An alumnus of St. Peter the Apostle, Keyano, and NAIT, he earned MVP honors and captained Pursuit Volley for the US National Open. He’s coached Nooks U17 Men, Salisbury Composite, Concordia MVB, and led teams to multiple championships, including the 2024 Jumplete Vleague title.
Greg brings 7 years of coaching experience, including 6 years as head coach for both men’s and women’s club teams. His teams compete at high levels, including Division 1 Nationals, and he has developed athletes who have gone on to play at collegiate and USport levels. Greg runs clinics for ages 8–16, continually grows his expertise, and inspires players to reach their full potential.
Salisbury Composite graduate from Sherwood Park with 10+ years in competitive volleyball. Played five years at MacEwan University, transitioning from serve sub to libero after club career as a leftside. Former 16U Provincial Team athlete, 3-year Team Alberta 15U Girls assistant coach, and Provincial Team High Performance Coordinator.
Jaime brings 25+ years of experience as an educator and school administrator and has spent the past 10 years coaching junior high to varsity boys volleyball, including a Metro Championship win last year. A Volleyball Alberta referee and former Edmonton-area club board member, known for kindness, compassion, and a love of volleyball, inspiring athletes to grow, lead, and support one another.
Sherwaine has 15+ years of leadership in education, sports administration, and program development. He has served as Senior Master & Supervisor of Athletics at St. John’s College (Bahamas) and Program Coordinator at FOG Volleyball Club. Holding Master’s degrees in Coaching and Educational Leadership, he excels in operations, budgeting, HR, and creating inclusive, high-performing environments.
Bachelor of Commerce graduate from MacEwan University (Management major, Innovation & Entrepreneurship minor) with 2 years of experience in social media management and marketing. Former Volleyball Alberta High Performance Coordinator and varsity athlete, blending business expertise with a lifelong dream of building a premier volleyball facility.
